Responsible personsThe 8th René Descartes Lectures Tilburg University (The Netherlands) 16th to 18th December 2022  Keynote lectures Professor Cheshire Calhoun (Arizona State University, USA): Responsible Persons  Invited Commentators:  Gunnar Björnsson (Stockholm University, Sweden)  Jules Holroyd (University of Sheffield, UK)  Heidi Maibom (University of Cincinnati, USA)  Every other year, a distinguished philosopher visits Tilburg Center for Moral Philosophy, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS) to present the René Descartes Lectures. In 2022, the René Descartes Lecturer is Professor Cheshire Calhoun (Arizona State University). Professor Calhoun will deliver three lectures on the topic Responsible Persons. Each lecture will be followed by an invited commentary by renowned scholars: Professor Gunnar Björnsson (Stockholm University, Sweden), Dr Jules Holroyd (University of Sheffield, UK) and Professor Heidi Maibom (University of Cincinnati, USA). More researchers will present on the topic Taking Responsibility during the workshops following each lecture and commentary.
